I am delighted to say that my San Gabriel Parks & Rec proposal for a series of Zentangle classes is going to happen! Well, it will at least be listed in the recreation guide, I can hope that people sign up for it. This is the listing:
Zentangle is a meditative art form that anyone can enjoy. No artistic experience required. Students are guided in creating unique, highly detailed abstract artwork in a supportive group environment.
Zentangle practice can improve focus, concentration and creative confidence. $20 supply fee due to instructor at first class. Instructor, Kimberly Michael is a certified Zentangle teacher (CZT) and has worked in graphic design since 1990. 6 weeks 9/26-10/31. $80 resident, $85 non-resident. Recreation Center.
Saturday, 2:00–4:30pm, 2343.401
I planned a series of 6 classes that include my 4 basic classes (Zentangle 101, String Thing, Grids & Grayscale and Renaissance!), plus a class working on colored papers and a class putting together 3D ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Artwork).
I am so excited about this! If you’ve come to this site after seeing the rec guide, this is the right place (the guides will come out in early August). Please use my contact page if you have any questions about the upcoming class.
